Plot

A rich son of a slumlord landlord has been given his own rental building to build up his experience being a landlord. One rule father instills in him: don't fix anything. This leads him to troubles with the tenants and with the law. The city breaks down on him and makes him live in this building in one of the vacant apartments with one rule: if you are going to fix anything, you have to do it for EVERYONE, not just yourself. Fix the electric? Do it for the whole building. Fix the heat? Do it for the whole building.

What will he do - fix nothing and live in a complete dump or fix up the building?

Rating Criteria

0/5 – No value whatsoever. Absolute waste of time.

1/5 – Barely worth any time.

2/5 – Pathetic but has a bit of something to hold the attention a little.

3/5 – Somewhat kept the attention but could definitely have used more.

4/5 – Good, but not awe-strikingly amazing. Could have maybe used a bit more to the movie.

5/5 – Go see it! Wonderful movie all around. – characters, music, theme, story line, etc.

3/5 - It was great to see a slumlord having to live in one of his properties but the movie was too short and didn't show how to fix all of the place nor what happened with Louie's relationships. Getting "his" car back at the end was touching but it turned out to actually be a stolen car from someone else, and they blamed it on Louie. No conclusion about if he will get the other properties from his father nor if he has truly changed his mind about being a slumlord. Definitely could have used more conclusiveness about everything but it was cute.

That's my review. Thanks for reading! More reviews to come eventually.
