Plot
The President of the United States, with important information in a suitcase with him, has been shot down over the maximum security prison of New York. The probability of getting out of said prison is near zero. The government and military decide to get a really good military veteran (that is kinda out of favor with the government/military) to go in to save the President. There is a time crunch, further accentuated by a poison that they injected into Snake Plissken when they forced his recruitment [and only we have the antidote so get back before time xx:xx]. Can Snake get the President and the info out safely? Can he make the deadline?
Rating Criteria
0/5 – No value whatsoever. Absolute waste of time.
1/5 – Barely worth any time.
2/5 – Pathetic but has a bit of something to hold the attention a little.
3/5 – Somewhat kept the attention but could definitely have used more.
4/5 – Good, but not awe-strikingly amazing. Could have maybe used a bit more to the movie.
5/5 – Go see it! Wonderful movie all around. – characters, music, theme, story line, etc.
2.5/5 - *SPOILERS* Interesting idea having a whole city become a prison. It is dirty and worn down and all sorts of crimes are happening inside the city. Is it a coincidence that the "city that never sleeps" became the first maximum security prison? I don't think so.
The idea of the story was interesting but the events in the movie were fairly basic and lame. I definitely was not on the edge of my seat for this one. (Yawn....) But it turned out decent at the end.
I would say this is a movie to watch just to say you've watched it but watch out for the boring storyline, in my honest opinion. [Not missing much if you don't watch it, IMHO.]
That's my movie review. Thank you for reading! More reviews to come eventually!
