Plot

This is about the 7 Deadly Sins, including Escanor, dealing with a demon group called the 6 Knights of Black and how, after passing through a portal that dropped them off on an island in the sky, the Sins helped a celestial named Solaad (that looks exactly like Meliodas but with wings) learn how to stand up for himself.

Rating Criteria
0/5 – No value whatsoever. Absolute waste of time.
1/5 – Barely worth any time.
2/5 – Pathetic but has a bit of something to hold the attention a little.
3/5 – Somewhat kept the attention but could definitely have used more.
4/5 – Good, but not awe-strikingly amazing. Could have maybe used a bit more to the movie.
5/5 – Go see it! Wonderful movie all around. – characters, music, theme, story line, etc.

3.5/5 – This is not part of anime story-line canon, as far as we know by the end of Season 3 Episode 24 (“So Long As You're Here”, released Oct 15, 2018) because Escanor is in this movie and he didn't show up until episode 14 of season three (“Master of the Sun”). It was good to see the whole group here but it made no sense regarding where it sat in the canon timeline. I would have liked to see it linked in with the show better because then it wouldn't feel like such a filler between seasons (and they still haven't brought out the next season as of the end of November 2019).

One major thing I didn't like was the fact that the celestial Solaad and his celestial girlfriend were darn near identical to Meliodas and Elizabeth. It is fine that the plotline revolves around the fact that Meliodas and Solaad look darn near identical but Elizabeth and her counterpart?! *fumes*

The artwork and animation of the movie were in good taste and were very much in the same vein as the show, so if you like the show, you'll like the artwork/animation of the movie. I would not suggest this as a stand-alone movie because it tells nothing of the characters aside the celestials and it is not very good with the canon of the anime (though I have no clue how it works with the manga) but it is a cute movie. [Stick to the anime, in my opinion.]

Well, that's my review. Thanks for reading! More reviews to come in the future.
