This is a movie review for "Waxwork", released June 17, 1988. I watched this via my Roku.

Trailer

Zach Galligan                  Mark
Deborah Foreman          Sarah
Michelle Johnson          China

Eric Brown                 James

Plot

Neighborhood teenagers are trying to find something to do with their lives when a waxwork museum opens up in a nearby neighborhood - with special invitation only to a midnight showing. They go to the waxwork and find themselves stepping into the scenes depicting evil (Marquis de Sade, mummy, Dracula, werewolf, etc). Is there a sinister plot beneath this waxwork museum? If so, can they survive it and/or defeat it?

Rating Criteria

0/5 – No value whatsoever. Absolute waste of time.
1/5 – Barely worth any time.
2/5 – Pathetic but has a bit of something to hold the attention a little.
3/5 – Somewhat kept the attention but could definitely have used more.
4/5 – Good, but not awe-strikingly amazing. Could have maybe used a bit more to the movie.
5/5 – Go see it! Wonderful movie all around. – characters, music, theme, story line, etc.

3/5 - Bland story over all. Not much action and not much character building. It was interesting that the owner of the waxwork had a background from the area, but that didn't give much flavor to the plot.

I could see this movie being much more interesting/horrific back in the day when it came out but for nowadays, it sucks (in my honest opinion). I can say that I have seen it but I would not recommend it; bummer.

That's my movie review! Thanks for reading. More reviews are to come.
