Classic Movie Review: "Dirty Harry" 12/23/71

This is a classic movie review for "Dirty Harry", released December 23, 1971. I have watched this more than once. This round was watched on October 20, 2020.

Trailer

Cast

Clint Eastwood - Harry
Harry Guardino - Bressler
Reni Santoni - Chico
John Vernon - The Mayor
Andrew Robinson - Killer (as Andy Robinson)

Plot

A killer is on the loose and it is up to the police to stop him. Detective Harry wants to stop him, even if he has to fight a little dirty to get the job done. Can Harry stop the killer?

Rating Criteria

0/5 – No value whatsoever. Absolute waste of time.

1/5 – Barely worth any time.

2/5 – Pathetic but has a bit of something to hold the attention a little.

3/5 – Somewhat kept the attention but could definitely have used more.

4/5 – Good, but not awe-strikingly amazing. Could have maybe used a bit more to the movie.

5/5 – Go see it! Wonderful movie all around. – characters, music, theme, story line, etc.

4.5/5 - For an older movie, this is pretty interesting. There were times that you feel like it will start dragging but it doesn't drag too much. The ending is fairly decent and fulfilling but not necessarily satisfying, considering how much Harry had to go through to get there.

I would watch this again. I'd say that it is something that most should take a look at, if you are interested.

In prepping for this review, I found out that there are sequels so I probably will be looking into that.

Thank you for reading my review. More are to come eventually!
