Movie Review - "Brigadoon" (tv movie 1966)

This is a movie review for "Brigadoon", the tv movie from 1966. I could not find the trailer for this movie since this is so old (and the 1954 trailer kept getting in the way).
I watched it on YouTube here.

Cast:
Robert Goulet ("Beetlejuice" Maxie Dean, "Scrooged" Preston Rhinelander) - Tommy Albright
Peter Falk ("The Princess Bride" Grandfather/Narrator, tv show "Columbo" Columbo) - Jeff Douglas
Sally Ann Howes ("Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" (1968) Truly Scrumptious, "Dead of Night" (1945) Sally O'Hara) - Fiona McLaren
Finlay Currie ("Ben-Hur" (1959) Balthasar / Narrator, "Around the World in Eighty Days" (1956) Andrew Stuart) -  Mr.Lundie
Marlyn Mason  ("Fifteen and Pregnant" (TV Movie 1998) Grandma Spangler, "Wonder Woman" (TV Series 1979) Lucy DeWitt in episode 'The Richest Man in the World')  - Meg Brockie

Plot *SPOILERS*:
A vanishing town in Scotland appears when two American boys are lost. The town will stay in sync with the rest of the world for 24 hours before disappearing again. One boy, Tommy, falls in love with a Brigadoon girl named Fiona but can Tommy leave the modern world to be with Fiona?

Criteria:
0/5 – No value whatsoever. Absolute waste of time.
1/5 – Barely worth any time.
2/5 – Pathetic but has a bit of something to hold the attention a little.
3/5 – Somewhat kept the attention but could definitely have used more.
4/5 – Good, but not awe-strikingly amazing. Could have maybe used a bit more to the movie.
5/5 – Go see it! Wonderful movie all around – characters, music, theme, storyline, etc.

4/5 for this movie, in my opinion. Though it is 50 years old, the movie is very good. I have seen the play before and I still like it, no matter who is playing the roles or the media of the movie/play. I love the plot and how it plays out.

If you have issues with Scottish accents, this is NOT the movie for you. It took me a while to figure out what they were saying. O.o But it is worth it!

I find it interesting that three of the actors/actresses that I mentioned in the cast were part of movies that I have seen and love. It is amazing to find out that someone in an 80s/90s movie was acting back in the 60s!
