Plot:

This is a collection of Edgar Allan Poe tales: "The Fall of the House of Usher", "The Tell-Tale Heart", "The Facts in the Case of M. Valdemar", "The Pit and the Pendulum" and "The Masque of the Red Death".

Criteria:
0/5 – No value whatsoever. Absolute waste of time.
1/5 – Barely worth any time.
2/5 – Pathetic but has a bit of something to hold the attention a little.
3/5 – Somewhat kept the attention but could definitely have used more.
4/5 – Good, but not awe-strikingly amazing. Could have maybe used a bit more to the movie.
5/5 – Go see it! Wonderful movie all around – characters, music, theme, storyline, etc.

4/5 - The characteristics of each of these segments are different but they do portray the tales. Each tale is animated but one has a 'comic book' like feel to it. There is a conversation between Death and Poe throughout the whole 'movie' but it is like a transition between one tale and the next.

If you like Edgar Allan Poe's writings, I suggest that you watch this. If not, I would say don't waste your time. It is the presentation of Poe's writings: It doesn't have major interesting points (no special effects nor actual actors acting; all animated; some differences between the different tales) if you don't like Poe.
