Plot
A killer shows up in town and kills two teenagers (Casey and her boyfriend). Of course, a murderer on the loose is big news in the small town. Sidney Prescott, still reeling from her mother being murdered last year, is traumatized by the idea of a loose murderer. To top that off, she gets a call from the killer (like Casey got before the murderer killed her). How can Sidney and her friends survive this killer?
Rating Criteria
0/5 – No value whatsoever. Absolute waste of time.
1/5 – Barely worth any time.
2/5 – Pathetic but has a bit of something to hold the attention a little.
3/5 – Somewhat kept the attention but could definitely have used more.
4/5 – Good, but not awe-strikingly amazing. Could have maybe used a bit more to the movie.
5/5 – Go see it! Wonderful movie all around. – characters, music, theme, story line, etc.
2.5/5 - For being a "classic" that so many say to watch, I find this movie to rot. Acting was lame, plotline was lacking, and the "action" was just not enough to keep me truly entertained. So what if Drew Barrymore had a memorable part in this movie but the rest of the movie was so blah.
As I said, poor acting even by Drew Barrymore. Sure, 90s movies have different standards of "this is the best of the time" but even so, the acting was bad. Even some 70s movies have better acting than this one! I don't see what is so amazing about this movie... I personally do not want to watch this again. [Oh, and I had to watch it twice to get a better basis for this review, so there's that. Even the second time was lame.]
Well, that's my review. Not worthwhile in my opinion. Of course, if you like bad acting and poor plotline development, go for it at your own expense.
Thanks for reading! More reviews to come eventually.
