Rating Criteria
0/5 – No value whatsoever. Absolute waste of time.
1/5 – Barely worth any time.
2/5 – Pathetic but has a bit of something to hold the attention a little.
3/5 – Somewhat kept the attention but could definitely have used more.
4/5 – Good, but not awe-strikingly amazing. Could have maybe used a bit more to the movie.
5/5 – Go see it! Wonderful movie all around. – characters, music, theme, story line, etc.

4.5/5 - I kinda would have liked a note at the beginning saying it was based on a real story but whatever. It is a good movie. Sometimes it was difficult to hear the dialogue but no other complaints.

Sorry that this movie review is short but it wasn't a very memorable movie and I didn't have much to say about it right after watching it. I think we watched it in black and white, but I am not sure. Either way, it was an interesting escape movie and very ingenious how they covered up their escape (though research afterwards tells me that they might have bribed some guards to "look the other way" regarding things and might have gotten word out to someone on the outside to pick them up from the bay area). The final word on what happened to the prisoners is vague but they were never picked up afterwards and they did not wash up on any shore so they definitely at least got out of Alcatraz. Inescapable? Yeah right.... Good story and fairly good movie. I would suggest it, though it was a bit slow to start off with.

That's my movie review. Thanks for reading! More reviews to come eventually.
